Impressions from Afghanistan

The US Sepcial Forces are not only in Afghanistan seeking the remaining Taliban hot-shots and the
members of al-Quaida, but also train the new Afghan National Army (ANA) in Kabul.
Though, by now, most of the active SF soldiers have been substituted by reservists, as they are probably
among the first to go into Iraq in case of a war -or as I was told in Kudistan, quite a few, e.g. US
Rangers, are in Nothern Iraq already- there still is a large presence of US commandos in the country.
They probably are the greatest people to be around with, only topped by those Americans I sometimes met
in the strangest, far off places, who were even more astonished to see me and who weren´t allowed to
even tell me their names. Well, guess who they worked for...
